Hi! As I’m sure you’ve already figured out – My name is Adura Odesanya and I am currently located in Lagos, Nigeria!
I graduated with a BEng in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the University Of Sussex, Brighton, UK. Followed by working in the Engineering and IT industries in Sussex, Slough and finally London for over 8 years.
Think of me as your Engineer turned Fitness & Wellness Specialist 😉
While in secondary school in Nigeria, I considered myself an athlete of some sort – 100m & 200m runner and was in good shape…. until I moved to the UK and gained over 50lbs within a year.
Long story short, after 4 years, I lost all of these extra pounds (in less than 6 months) and during the following years of learning how to maintain my weight loss, I shared my experiences both online (blogging) and offline and helped others on their healthy journey.
It didn’t take me too long to realise I enjoyed learning (and sharing) about fitness and nutrition and thanks to two friends, I started off by studying and attaining my first (of 2) fitness certifications (Group Exercise and Personal Training) in 2008/2009 and the rest as they say is history!
I run online fat loss & fitness programs, have appeared on TV shows to spread the word of living a healthy lifestyle (Ebony Life TV’s ‘The Spot’ & Africa Magic’s ‘The Dr Ketch Show’) and do as much as possible to Make Healthy Living As Simple As Possible. My goal is to help you make sustainable lifestyle changes through eating fresh, real food and doing effective exercise, I do not believe in “diets” or endless training sessions!
With over 10 years of learning through first hand experience, and professional certification, I understand obstacles that many face in trying to reach weight loss and fitness goals.
